CMA competitions are designed to celebrate effort, discipline and progress, while giving children the confidence to perform under time and performance conditions.
CMA students participate in competitions at multiple levels, designed to encourage progress, discipline and confidence.
These events focus on effort and learning rather than pressure, helping children experience achievement in a supportive environment.
Over the years, CMA India has hosted and participated in a variety of prestigious events at national and international levels, as well as global online challenges.
Conducted in India, bringing together students from different CMA centres across the country to represent their centre and experience a larger competitive environment in a supportive setting.
Hosted by CMA on an international platform, featuring students from multiple countries. CMA India students proudly represent the country while gaining global exposure.
Periodic online events conducted through CMA’s digital platforms, allowing students worldwide to participate, track performance and earn recognition through consistent effort.
The first step is for your child to enrol in CMA and begin their learning journey. As they progress, they become eligible for competitions at different levels.
Students who have successfully completed their Mental Arithmetic Grading System (Grade 13 to Grade 1) will be eligible to proceed to Dan proficiency, which consists of 10 levels (Dan 1 to Dan 10), with Dan 10 being the highest.
To determine their level of competency, students are required to sit for the Dan Grading Examination, held quarterly in conjunction with CMA’s International Grading Examination. A sample of the examination is shown here; students are required to complete it within a time limit of 3 minutes. Students who achieve a perfect score of 200 marks will be awarded Dan 10. Upon attaining Dan 10, the students are recognized as mental arithmetic experts and qualified for graduation. Our Dan level students are as listed (listings are in order of year of attainment of Dan level and in alphabetical order; not in order of scores):
